An important new addition for the conference facility world in Matera, but also for the whole of Southern Italy: the new UNAHOTELS MH Matera conference centre adds an elegant new location for highly modular events to the existing 5 meeting rooms. The new space was opened in 2019 and is the perfect solution for hosting conferences, workshops, training sessions, and many other types of event. Recently built, all the rooms and areas in the convention centre are multifunctional and have natural light; laid out across two floors they can host up to 1,200 people in a theatre-style setting and offer state-of-the-art technical equipment, in particular the Bose audio-video system, with static equipment, a remote camera to send images to the screens, and two 65" monitors set up halfway across the room that can reproduce the images on the LED wall. The space has its own reception area and cloakroom, a bar with kitchen on each floor and a large foyer in front of the room that is perfect for exhibiting products and as a showroom. The large open spaces ensure that the social distancing required for events to be organised safely can be maintained in accordance with current anti-Covid measures.
