Versilia is the name given to a stretch of Toscano coastline that is approximately 12 miles long. It is backed by hills planted with olive trees and vines while in the distance are the snow-topped Apuan mountains. With a history going back to Neolithic times there are plenty of archaeological sites and medieval villages to explore or you can enjoy invigorating shoreline walks around Lake Massaciuccoli. 

Without the heat of the Summer, winter is the perfect time to climb and trek in the Apuan Alps Park just under an hour's drive from your hotel. On the way, stop off at Pietrasanta. This charming village has become a magnet for artists from all over the world.
