Fashion week comes to life from 17th to 23rd September

9 Sep 2024

Milan Fashion Week is one of the most anticipated and interesting events of the year, a time when all the eyes of the world are focused on the Lombard capital. Attention turns to the highly anticipated new collections, unveiled in the fashion shows that come to life every hour, under the gaze of industry experts and VIP guests.

The event, dedicated to the Spring-Summer 25 women's collection, will take place from 17th to 23rd September. Many areas of the city will be "enveloped" by the fashionable atmosphere that only MFW can offer: from la Triennale to Piazza dei Mercanti, not to mention special and exclusive locations that will be unveiled at the last moment.

Spending fashion week in Milan means immersing yourself in the heart of the fashion world and seeing the city in a decidedly glamorous guise. Discover the news and programme for Milan Fashion Week with over 60 fashion shows, events and presentations.

Milan Fashion Week: all the news

Just like every year, many brands are present at Milan Fashion Week, including famous names and interesting debuts. This year's edition is starting on the 17th September with the CNMI Fashion Hub at Palazzo Guireconsulti and will terminate on the 23th with digital shows including DEFAIENCE by Nicola Bacchilega, Jacob Cohën and Assegnato.

Milan Fashion Week will see several debuts to pay attention to: for the first time, it will host CHICCO MAO and FEDERICO CINA, usually featured only in the men's calendar, and Phan Dang Hoang, already featured in the digital calendar.

Among the emerging names there is Chinese designer Susan Fang, but expectation is also high for the fashion shows of Marco Rambaldi, Calcaterra, SUNNEI, ANDREADAMO and Francesca Liberatore.

This edition also sees the absence of some illustrious names such as Giorgio Armani, who will attend New York's edition in October, Tom Ford, who will present in showrooms, and Blumarine, currently without a creative director.

Milan Fashion Week: the programme

The Milan Fashion Week calendar starts on the 17th of September: in addition to the CNMI Fashion Hub, the inaugural Fiorucci fashion show will come to life at 10 AM at Milano Triennale, where more than 40 looks will be on view. In the afternoon, space will be given to Marni, Fendi, Alberta Ferretti and Iceberg.

From the following day, the calendar will intensify with 11 fashion shows per day: among the most anticipated names on Wednesday 18th September there are BOSS, Luisa Beccaria, N21, Roberto Cavalli and Etro, while on the 19th it will be the turn of Max Mara, Prada, Moschino, Emporio Armani and other brands.
