Gruppo UNA’s bartenders have conceived and created a number of exclusive cocktails that are served at hotel bars up and down the country. The latest addition is the amazing "The Court", a tasty, recently-invented cocktail we’ll find out about right now. 

An Italian tribute to international tennis

For a few years now, precisely since 2021, the ATP Tennis Finals have been hosted in Turin. A great shine for the city, which every year welcomes the top players of world tennis. Our Principi di Piemonte | UNA Esperienze, an elegant 5* property in the heart of the city, is also participating with great fervor in the adrenaline-filled atmosphere during these days.

To pay homage to international tennis and its stars, Flavio Scanu, barman of the Salotto dei Principi, the elegant bar housed right inside the Principi di Piemonte | UNA Esperienze, has created a special new cocktail, The Court, to be sipped between matches.

A true homage to the tennis court, as the name suggests, prepared by combining vodka and violet liqueur, with an intriguing color and sublime taste.

Full-bodied and with a harmonious taste, The Court can be drunk at any time of day to celebrate the on-court successes of tennis players. To embellish the cocktail, you will find an edible flower placed inside the glass, as well as a dried lavender stem placed on the rim. A true combination of scents!

ATP Finals over the years 

The creation of a cocktail dedicated to the ATP Finals is nothing new. Back in 2021, to welcome the athletes, Flavio Scanu came up with a drink that was drinkable and refreshing, called ACE.

A citrusy cocktail with a bitter-sweet taste, served in a low tumbler, prepared by shaking White Martini, Bitter Martini, China Martini, in equal parts, adding an orange twist and decorating it with a Cri Cri, chocolate praline with a hazelnut heart covered with sugar grains, typical of Piedmont.

Even last year, the tennis event was celebrated with a special cocktail, which is still available on the Salotto dei Principi's drink list: The Net, this the name chosen to recall the tennis net, is inspired by the city of Turin. Made with local ingredients, Martini Rosso, Bitter Stratta and Amaretto Vicenzi, it has a pleasant bitter-taste. Visually, a true work of art.

Other Signature Cocktails  

Don’t miss Zàgaro and Volata, two other Gruppo UNA exclusive cocktails. 

Launched in 2019, Zàgaro was the first house cocktail in the collection, a drink whose Mediterranean notes transports you with one sip to a Sicilian beach under a shady citrus tree. The cocktail is a mix of Mandarinetto, Cinzano Rosso 1757 and angostura, topped up with sparkling wine and soda. 
 

The Volata, on the other hand, was created to celebrate the 104th edition of the Giro d’Italia bike race. This refreshing and elegant aperitif was inspired by the iconic jersey worn by the man to beat, the leader of the General Table at the end of each Giro stage. Calvados Père Magloire and apple liqueur, along with rose and lychee syrups and cranberry juice, combine to create a low-alcohol drink with a delicate pink hue; swirls of citrus symbolizing bicycle wheels.
